Last Friday 24 April the WASTELESS consortium gathered in Brussels for its final General Assembly meeting, marking an important milestone as the project enters its concluding phase ahead of its completion at the end of May.

During the meeting, project partners reviewed progress across all work packages, covering the full scope of WASTELESS activities, from the development of digital tools and methodologies to testing, data integration, and strategic actions aimed at reducing food loss and waste. Particular attention was given to aligning on final dissemination and exploitation activities to ensure that project results reach relevant stakeholders across the European food system.

As WASTELESS enters its final weeks, all partners are fully engaged in:

  • Finalising key project deliverables
  • Communicating results and impact to target audiences
  • Preparing follow‑up activities to support long‑term uptake and sustainability

After more than three years of collaboration, the General Assembly also offered an opportunity to reflect on the collective journey of the consortium. Working alongside a committed and diverse group of partners from across Europe has been a true privilege and a key driver of the project’s success.

The coming weeks will be crucial to ensuring that WASTELESS leaves a strong and lasting legacy, delivering practical tools, evidence‑based insights, and actionable solutions to support the reduction of food losses and waste across Europe.
