During October and November 2025, the WASTELESS Project organized a series of training workshops to showcase the innovative tools developed to measure, monitor, and manage food loss and waste across the entire food supply chain.

Each session featured detailed presentations by the tool developers, who provided in-depth explanations of the tools’ functionalities and capabilities. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, allowing them to test the tools directly and provide valuable feedback on their usability, level of innovation, and scalability.

In total, over 100 participants were trained in using the WASTELESS tools. They found the workshops highly informative and relevant to their research. Some of their feedback on how can their work benefit from the use of the tools included:“…researchers can obtain better and more accurate data…”, “…helps to better understand consumer behaviour…”, “…provides statistical data on the type and destination of food across different national markets…”,  “…supports decision-making processes for reducing food waste…”, “…helps understand consumer behaviour and how it can be influenced toward food waste reduction…”

We sincerely thank all participants for their active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the workshops, and we extend our gratitude to the tool developers for their valuable contributions.
