On 23 & 24 May, WASTELESS was showcased at the Europatat Congress which took place in Brussels (Belgium).
More than 100 participants from 15 countries around Europe attended the event, which this year focused on the transition of the potato sector to a more sustainable future from the environmental, economic and social point of view. Our project WASTELESS was presented during Europatat’s Sustainability Commission and a roll up with the main objective and partners of the project was produced for the occasion. Our work to develop tools and recommendations for measuring and monitoring food losses and waste was well received by Europatat members, who are very active in the reduction of FLW along the potato supply chain.
Participants and representatives from the European Commission highlighted the potential of EU funded projects to find solutions to current challenges for food production and consumption.
We thank Europatat for the invitation and the opportunity to disseminate our research!
