MODEL2BIO: a pioneering decision-support tool based on mathematical models to predict agri-food waste flows and identify the best ways to valorise them

The MODEL2BIO project aims to develop a decision support system tool to determine the composition of waste streams from the agri-food industry and make recommendations on how to use them more efficiently. The tool will be based on the interconnection of a simulation module, an optimisation algorithm, and a life cycle analysis module. The project recommendations will be formulated from a holistic perspective (technical, economic, environmental, and social).
